Role Description This part-time hybrid role at The Sparks Foundation is based in Mérida, YUC, with a combination of on-site work and adaptable work-from-home arrangements. The role involves supporting educational and community-oriented projects through coordination of activities, preparation of materials, and clear communication with team members and stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks may include organizing events or workshops, maintaining project documentation, updating online platforms, and assisting with outreach efforts.

The person in this role collaborates with colleagues, follows established procedures, and contributes ideas to improve programs and participant experiences. The position requires reliability, effective time management, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects or programs, manage schedules, and support event or workshop logistics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills,



including clear documentation and professional interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Comfort with basic digital tools (e.g., email, office productivity software, online collaboration platforms) and willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site responsibilities in Mérida, YUC with remote tasks.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities responsibly.
- Collaborative mindset, openness to feedback, and enthusiasm for contributing to educational or social impact initiatives.
- Relevant experience in education, community work, nonprofit organizations, or student-led projects is beneficial.
- Post-secondary education (completed or in progress) in a related field such as education, social sciences, communications, or a similar area is an asset but not required.
