Bilingual Healthcare Billing & Payroll Specialist (English/Spanish)

Behind every successful home care operation is someone who makes sure caregiver hours, billing, and payroll records are accurate.

We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Bilingual Healthcare Billing & Payroll Specialist to support a New York-based home care provider.

You'll manage timesheets, verify caregiver hours, track service authorizations, and help keep billing and payroll processes on schedule. You'll also communicate with caregivers and internal teams in English and Spanish to resolve issues and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

What You'll Do

- Billing & Payroll: Review caregiver clock-in/out records, verify hours, process timesheets received by email and fax, identify discrepancies, and follow up on missing information before payroll deadlines.
- Authorizations & Documentation: Track service authorizations and expiration dates, flag expired or missing authorizations, notify service coordinators, and maintain accurate records.
- Communication & Support: Handle incoming calls, voicemails, and emails. Communicate with caregivers and internal teams in English and Spanish, and follow up on outstanding requests.
- Record Management: Maintain organized digital files using Microsoft Word, basic Excel, Dropbox,



and other systems while protecting confidential information.

What You'll Bring

- Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish.
- Previous experience in healthcare or medical billing (required).
- Understanding of timesheets, payroll support, and billing processes.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to identify errors, resolve discrepancies, and follow through on pending tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, basic Excel, and digital recordkeeping.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information responsibly.

Nice to Have:

- Experience in home care agencies, medical offices, or healthcare administration.
- Familiarity with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) systems.
- Knowledge of NHTD, TBI, and Plan of Care (POC) requirements.
