This is a functional and operational master data specialist role, not solely a data entry or administrative position. It assesses the consistency of identifiers, attributes, prices and master records across D365, EDI, NOS, TPM and TPT within the assigned scope; changes must account for their effects on transactions and related systems. The specialist works with data owners, key users, functional leads and integration teams.
The specialist executes and validates authorized changes; data owners approve business definitions and decisions. The role does not replace application owners or independently authorize prices or sensitive changes.
Responsibilities
1. Manage requests to create, update and deactivate master data: check completeness, duplication, dependencies and approvals; record changes and confirm the outcome with the requester.
2. Maintain items/SKUs and products released by legal entity, categories, attributes, units and conversions, as well as external identifiers; validate their consistency with the processes that use this data.
3. Maintain customers, vendors, addresses and contacts, verifying mandatory fields and business rules with the responsible teams; route sensitive changes for approval.
4. Maintain prices and purchase and sales trade agreements in accordance with business authorizations; validate effective dates, units, currencies and terms before publishing changes.
5. Maintain sites, warehouses, receipt and shipping calendars, transit times, delivery modes and bills of materials (BOMs) within the authorized scope; validate dependencies and operational impacts with Planning and Packing.
6. Execute bulk uploads through D365 F&O; data entities and packages: prepare templates, validate mappings and load sequences, review staging and target errors and reconcile processed records.
7. Monitor master data quality and consistency across D365, EDI, NOS, TPM and TPT, as applicable; investigate data incidents, identify root causes and coordinate corrections with application and interface owners.
8. Assess the impact of changes on purchasing, sales, inventory, planning, packing and invoicing; prepare and execute tests in non-production environments and retain evidence and approval before production release.
9. Apply governance, authorized-access and traceability rules; maintain data dictionaries, procedures and control evidence, and support compliance reviews with those responsible for applicable policies and regulations.
10. Train key users on requests and proper data maintenance; monitor completeness, duplication, upload errors, response times and recurring incidents, agreeing on priorities and improvements with business and IT teams.
11.Define and implement Master Data workflows in D365 F&O; with power apps to automate the MD processes across the business areas
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in ERP master data management and quality, with hands-on D365 F&O; experience required. Must demonstrate maintenance of items/SKUs, customers, vendors, prices and trade agreements; bulk uploads, reconciliation, error diagnosis and change testing. Experience coordinating requests with business users and IT teams is required. Participation in migrations, master data cleansing or integration stabilization is preferred.
Advanced spoken and written Spanish and English to support users in Mexico and the United States, document procedures, explain impacts and coordinate incident resolution.
Ideally candidate should be located in Guadalajara or Queretaro, but I am open to evaluate candidates from other locations if they match with the job profile
