We are seeking a highly motivated Design Engineer to support the engineering, analysis, and design of steel structures for utility and infrastructure projects. This position plays a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions while collaborating closely with customers, manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural analysis and design of steel poles and related products using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other engineering tools.
- Develop engineering solutions that meet customer specifications, applicable standards, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to ensure designs are optimized for performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost.
- Review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing processes, field applications, and customer inquiries.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for products, processes, and engineering methodologies.




- Support the resolution of technical challenges related to product performance and manufacturing.
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards, manufacturing capabilities, and emerging engineering technologies.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to support successful project execution.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural analysis and design.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Experience using structural design and analysis software.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Interest in pursuing a U.S.

Professional

Engineer (PE) License. Valmont provides support throughout the licensing process.

- Availability for occasional travel (up to three times per year, including potential international travel).
