About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Ingeniero de Seguridad SIEM to enhance their security operations capabilities in Cuernavaca, Morelos. This role is critical for managing, configuring, and optimizing the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to effectively detect, analyze, and respond to security threats. You will play a key part in leveraging the SIEM platform to gain insights into security events and incidents, ensuring the protection of the organization's assets. This hybrid role offers a dynamic environment for security professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Deploy, configure, and maintain SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Arc Sight)
- Develop and tune SIEM correlation rules, alerts, and dashboards
- Ingest and normalize log data from various sources into the SIEM
- Monitor SIEM alerts and investigate potential security incidents
- Perform threat hunting using SIEM data
- Develop and maintain SIEM use cases and operational procedures
- Collaborate with security analysts and incident response teams
- Optimize SIEM performance and manage system resources
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SIEM technologies and security threats
- Provide training and support to other security team members on SIEM usage

Requirements




- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with SIEM platforms in a security operations or engineering role
- Proven experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting SIEM solutions
- Strong understanding of log management, event correlation, and security monitoring concepts
- Experience with data parsing and normalization techniques
- Knowledge of common security threats, attack vectors, and incident response procedures
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell) is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Relevant SIEM or security certifications are highly desirable
