Job Summary The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing the materials and services needed to support the company’s production, maintenance, facilities, and day-to-day operations. This role manages procurement activities from requisition review and supplier sourcing through purchase order issuance and order follow-up. The Buyer also supports procurement needs for other business functions, including Human Resources, and helps ensure suppliers meet company requirements for quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Review material and service requirements, understand operational needs, and enter or process purchase requests.
- Source and purchase MRO supplies, production equipment, replacement parts, facilities-related items, and services.
- Request and evaluate quotations; compare pricing and other relevant factors to identify suitable suppliers.
- Prepare and release purchase orders in accordance with approved requirements and company authorization procedures.
- Track orders and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support timely delivery and resolve purchasing issues.
- Identify, register, and validate suppliers in internal systems, ensuring they meet applicable company requirements.
- Manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Use procurement tools and systems, including IMPC, PMCS, IM MALL, and Ariba, as applicable.




- Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and protect confidential company information.
- Apply analytical, negotiation, organizational, and risk-assessment skills to procurement decisions.
- Participate in or lead continuous-improvement activities related to purchasing and supply-chain processes.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, facilities, and other departments to support business operations.

Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years of experience purchasing MRO materials in a maquiladora environment or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience managing overseas suppliers.
- English: Upper-intermediate proficiency.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Power BI is an asset.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build effective supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, financial fundamentals, risk analysis, and project management.
- Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per month
