About the Role
Our client, a prestigious art gallery located in the vibrant tourist destination of Cancún, Quintana Roo , is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Digital Art Curator to join their dynamic team. This role is instrumental in shaping the gallery's online presence and its engagement with a global audience, while also contributing to on-site exhibitions. The idóneo candidate will possess a deep understanding of contemporary art trends, a keen eye for aesthetic quality, and a proven ability to leverage digital platforms for artistic presentation and promotion. You will be at the forefront of innovation in art curation, bridging the physical and digital realms to create compelling artistic experiences. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement curatorial strategies for the gallery's digital platforms, including website, social media, and virtual exhibitions.

Research, identify, and acquire digital artworks and new media for the gallery's collection and exhibitions.

Collaborate with artists, designers, and technologists to produce engaging digital content and interactive experiences.

Manage the digital archiving and cataloging of artworks, ensuring high standards of organization and accessibility.

Organize and oversee virtual art events, online talks, and artist presentations.

Contribute to the conceptualization and execution of physical exhibitions, integrating digital components where appropriate.

Monitor art market trends and audience engagement metrics to inform curatorial decisions.





Build and maintain relationships with artists, collectors, and art institutions worldwide.

Ensure all digital curatorial activities align with the gallery's mission and aesthetic vision.

Requirements

Master's degree in Art History, Curatorial Studies, Digital Arts, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in art curation, with a significant focus on digital art and new media.

Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary art, digital art history, and current curatorial practices.

Proficiency in using digital content management systems, social media platforms, and virtual exhibition software.

Excellent research, writing, and communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Strong understanding of copyright, intellectual property, and ethical considerations in digital art.

Experience in project management and budget oversight for exhibitions and digital initiatives.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
