Roofing Estimator — Residential & Commercial

Green Attic is hiring 2 Roofing Estimators:

- 1 Residential Roofing Estimator
- 1 Commercial Roofing Estimator

We are looking for candidates with strong knowledge of U.S. construction processes, roofing materials, estimating, bidding, damage assessment, material sourcing, and pricing. Software can be trained. Construction knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

- Prepare roofing estimates, bids, takeoffs, and scopes of work.
- Review measurements, plans, specifications, and project photos.
- Calculate materials, labor, waste, equipment, and project complexity.
- Identify roofing damage and missing scope.
- Source materials and compare supplier pricing.
- Maintain updated material and pricing catalogs.
- Coordinate estimate details with sales and production.

Residential Estimator

Experience with

- Asphalt shingles and steep-slope roofing.
- Underlayment, flashing, vents, gutters, and related materials.
- Residential takeoffs and roof damage assessment.

Commercial Estimator

Experience with

- TPO, EPDM, and low-slope/flat roofing systems.




- Commercial plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Material takeoffs, labor calculations, and scope review.

Requirements
- 2+ years of roofing or U.S. construction estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. construction and roofing materials.
- Experience with estimates, bids, takeoffs, and material sourcing.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify damage or scope issues from photos and project information.
- Comfortable learning new estimating software.

Preferred: Xactimate, aerial measurement tools, insurance restoration experience, or bilingual English/Spanish. When applying, please indicate whether your strongest experience is in Residential or Commercial Roofing Estimating.
