Application Support Specialist – Excel & Financial Applications

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist to investigate application issues, support clients, and coordinate incident resolution across technical and business teams. The idóneo candidate combines strong troubleshooting skills, advanced Excel proficiency, familiarity with financial models, and experience using AI tools to improve support processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 1 analysis and support for reported incidents and service requests.
- Investigate issues, identify root causes, and prepare clear, actionable defect reports for development teams.
- Prioritize, triage, and manage incidents in accordance with established SLAs.
- Serve as a key point of contact between clients, product, development, QA, and IT support teams.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and user documentation.
- Manage multiple priorities independently and drive issues through resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service quality and support processes.





Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience as a Support Analyst, Application Support Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with finance concepts and financial models.
- Experience using AI tools and agents to improve productivity, analysis, troubleshooting, or support workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in client-facing support and coordination across multiple teams.
- Ability to manage workloads independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience querying databases and performing data analysis.
- Experience supporting or maintaining Excel-based financial models.
- Background in financial services, valuation, or investment-related applications.
