We’re building a next-generation platform that powers healthcare marketplaces, helping members easily discover providers and book appointments. Our solution is delivered to consumer apps, health systems, payers, and employers through embeddable experiences, SDKs, APIs, and an MCP server.

In this role, you will own how schedule inventory enters our marketplaces. You'll integrate health systems and telehealth networks via batch feeds and real-time APIs, normalize incoming data into standards-conformant FHIR, and ensure availability is ultra-fresh so every booking either confirms seamlessly or fails gracefully. You’ll take each new supplier integration from zero to production and maintain full ownership once live.

? AI-Native Culture: This is a hands-on role on a lean team. You will leverage coding agents (e.g., Claude Code) and reusable AI skills to accelerate data mappings, test generation, and boilerplate, using sharp technical judgment to balance AI speed with strict data accuracy.

Core Responsibilities

- ⚙️ Supplier Integrations: Build and operate integrations via batch channels (EHR exports, SFTP extracts, Delta Sharing) and real-time APIs (telehealth networks).
- ? FHIR Standardization: Normalize complex supplier data into standard FHIR resources (Slot, Schedule, Location, PractitionerRole, HealthcareService).
- ? Data Pipeline Engineering: Build idempotent,



incremental data loads with freshness metrics and robust confirm-at-booking flows that handle stale inventory, taken slots, and expired holds.
- ?️ Security & Compliance: Securely handle PHI and encrypted files under HIPAA compliance; author comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure pipeline integrity.
- ?️ System Health & Orchestration: Maintain production reliability with Airflow orchestration, proactive alerting, on-call support, and root-cause analysis.
- ? AI Adaptation: Develop reusable supplier adapters and modular AI skills for the engineering team.

Requirements & Qualifications
- ? Experience: 6+ years in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Health IT.
- ? End-to-End Ownership: Proven track record of taking new data sources from zero to production and maintaining them (including on-call ownership).
- ? Dual Integration Mastery: Hands-on experience connecting external partner data via both batch file feeds (SFTP, decryption) and real-time APIs (OAuth 2.0).
- ? Core Tech Stack: Strong Python, SQL, and Apache Airflow for ETL/ELT, Change Data Capture (CDC), and idempotent processing.
- ? Regulatory & Security: Direct experience managing PHI / PII data pipelines under strict HIPAA guidelines.
- ? AI Tooling: Daily user of AI coding environments (e.g., Claude Code), with the engineering judgment to know when a deterministic rule beats an LLM call.
- ? Execution Mindset: You hold high engineering standards, drive work to landed (not just merged), and own the outcome end-to-end.
