We are hiring a closer who can build a growth engine

Shan Potts Law Offices (SPLO), based in Glendale, California, represents individuals, families, and employers navigating U.S. immigration matters. We are recruiting our first senior, quota-carrying sales leader to expand our reach, turn qualified opportunities into retained clients, and establish the playbook for a growing sales function.

This is not a marketing-coordinator, appointment-setter, or purely supervisory job. You will sell personally, create new demand, own the pipeline and the Friday numbers, and demonstrate the results needed to hire and coach additional sales team members in 2027.

What you will own

- Close and convert qualified opportunities

· Own assigned leads from first contact to attorney-led consultation, approved engagement documentation, payment coordination, and smooth onboarding.

· Use disciplined, empathetic consultative selling; understand needs, manage follow-up, address commercial objections and communicate approved service information without giving legal advice.

· Handle U.S.-market prospects by phone, video, email and approved messaging channels; prioritize urgent matters for rapid attorney review.

- Generate business across channels

· Run permitted outbound prospecting and warm-lead follow-up: calls, compliant email outreach, LinkedIn and other professional social channels.

· Build partnerships and professional relationships with employers, HR teams, staffing agencies, universities, international student and professional communities, and community organizations.

· Create conversion-focused webinars, virtual information sessions, employer roundtables, event follow-up plans and referral programs with the firm’s attorneys and marketing team.

· Work with marketing to convert website, social media, video, webinar and campaign inquiries; share evidence on which sources generate qualified clients, not merely traffic.

- Forecast, improve and scale

· Keep CRM records accurate: owner, source, practice area, estimated engagement value, stage, next step, next-contact date and expected decision date.

· Present a concise Friday dashboard: new qualified leads, consultations, signed engagements, booked engagement value, initial collections, channel conversions, and 7-day/30-day forecast.

· Build sales scripts, follow-up standards, pipeline definitions and reporting; identify lost opportunities and fix conversion bottlenecks.

· Document a repeatable sales playbook and help recruit, onboard and coach new team members as business volume justifies expansion in 2027.

Who we help

Our portfolio includes family-based green cards and citizenship, employment and business immigration, work visas, employer sponsorship, asylum, removal/deportation defense, waivers, federal appeals and immigration-related post-conviction matters. Your job is to understand the commercial and client journey, recognize when an attorney is needed, and develop the right business relationships—not to determine legal eligibility or recommend legal strategy.

Required experience

· At least 5 years in quota-carrying consultative sales to U.S. customers, including 2+ years directly selling or converting prospective clients for U.S. immigration-law services.

· Documented personal closing performance: can explain monthly quota, actual revenue or engagement value, conversion rates, average sales cycle and the candidate’s own contribution.

· Practical track record creating opportunities beyond inbound leads—at least three of outbound calling, professional social selling, partnerships, community/event follow-up, webinars, referrals or employer prospecting.

· Strong spoken and written English and Spanish; credible with both individual immigration clients and U.S. employer decision-makers.

· Confident use of CRMs,

spreadsheets, calling tools, virtual meetings and lead-source reporting; ability to forecast rather than merely list pipeline.

· Ability to work independently and professionally within U.S. Pacific business hours, including sensitive and time-critical client conversations.

Strong advantages

· Experience across both family/humanitarian immigration and employment/business immigration segments.

· Existing networks with U.S. employers, recruiting/staffing organizations, immigration communities or business associations.

· Prior coaching or team-lead responsibility and evidence of building sales processes from an early stage.

· Exposure to legal CRMs (e.g., Clio, Lawmatics, Docketwise) or configurable CRM environments.

What success looks like

First 30 days: learn service lines, audit the funnel and establish a credible baseline. By day 60: take ownership of active opportunities, deploy repeatable multi-channel plays and deliver a usable weekly forecast. By day 90: demonstrate documented conversion improvement, verifiable new-business contribution, reliable CRM discipline, and a practical 2027 team-building roadmap. Targets will be agreed after reviewing vigente lead quality, attorney capacity and historical performance.

Compensation and growth

Competitive fixed USD compensation plus a performance-based bonus plan, designed in accordance with applicable professional-conduct and local employment rules. Scope and classification will be determined based on the hiring country. This is an opportunity to become the founding commercial leader and grow into formal team leadership based on proven results.

How to applyPlease share your résumé and a short, evidence-based sales summary covering:

(1) which U.S. immigration services you have sold,

(2) the last 12 months of personal quota and results,

(3) lead-to-client conversion performance,

(4) the strongest channel you personally built, and

(5) an example of your weekly forecast or dashboard with confidential details removed.
