About the Role

Our client is a forward-thinking construction company seeking an experienced and highly motivated Ingeniero Civil de Planificación y Diseño de Proyectos de Construcción for a fully remote position. This role is crucial for the successful initiation and execution of diverse construction projects across Mexico. You will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, feasibility studies, and preliminary designs, ensuring all aspects align with client requirements, budget constraints, and regulatory standards. The adecuado candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies and materials. You will collaborate extensively with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors through virtual platforms, driving projects from conception to the commencement of construction. Key Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, scheduling, and resource allocation. Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for new construction projects. Prepare preliminary designs and architectural/engineering coordination documents. Create detailed cost estimates and budget management strategies. Identify and mitigate potential project risks from the outset. Liaise with clients, government authorities, and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and permits. Coordinate effectively with various engineering disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical) throughout the planning phase. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Select and manage external consultants and subcontractors as needed.



Maintain all project documentation and reporting throughout the planning and pre-construction phases.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in project planning, design, and pre-construction phases of large-scale construction projects. Proven track record in developing detailed project plans and budgets for commercial, industrial, or residential developments. Expertise in construction methodologies, scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), and cost estimation tools. Strong understanding of building codes and regulatory frameworks in Mexico. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, particularly in a virtual environment. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. Proficiency in relevant CAD and BIM software is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams remotely. Experience with diverse project types and locations across Mexico is essential.
