Serve as the primary communication link between customers and internal departments, ensuring customer requirements, order status, schedule changes, pricing changes, and concerns are communicated accurately and promptly. Obtain customer purchase orders, enter and maintain sales orders and purchase order details in the ERP system, and prepare and forward order confirmations to customers. Coordinate with Production Control regarding order status, scheduling updates, delivery requirements, material availability, and other issues that may impact customer commitments. Ensure customer-supplied materials, components, documentation, specifications, and other required items are received as needed to support production. When technical inquiries arise, coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Tooling, Program Management, and other technical personnel to provide timely and accurate responses to customers. Source and qualify vendors for thermoplastic resins, engineered polymers, colorants, additives, inserts, fasteners, packaging, purchased components,



and other materials required for injection molding production. Develop and maintain a competitive supplier base by identifying new vendors, alternate sources, and second-source options to reduce cost and supply-chain risk. Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze supplier quotations, compare total landed cost, and make sourcing recommendations based on price, quality, lead time, capacity, service, and technical capability. Negotiate material and component pricing, payment terms, freight terms, minimum order quantities, lead times, tooling or setup charges, annual agreements, stocking agreements, and other commercial conditions with suppliers. Lead cost-reduction initiatives and support annual price negotiations, supplier consolidation, and value-analysis opportunities while maintaining required quality and performance standards.
