• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in policy analysis and campaigns, working on technology issues or the policy environments that surround them.
• 4 years of experience working within government, think tanks, public interest groups, technology industry groups, or corporate public policy organizations.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to engage with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
• Deep domain expertise and strong business acumen, with a proven ability to seamlessly integrate public policy with corporate business strategy.
• Track record of leading and delivering cross-functional projects from inception to completion.
• Experience in technology policy issues.
• Strong and effective communicator and project manager.
• Ability to operate in a changing, multi-stakeholder environment and exercise good judgment.
About the job:
As a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team,
you will engage externally and internally on behalf of Google. You will have strong investigative, organizational, and communication skills to manage multiple projects and respond to policy challenges effectively. You will be part of a general government affairs team, working across regions, product areas, and functions. You will combine creativity and intellectual excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects and initiatives.
In this role, you will advocate for Google to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction. You will be passionate about the opportunity to shape the future of how we use and build technology for everyone.
