Job Summary As a Senior Software Engineer based in Mexico, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions on a small team designing and implementing new features for two new products (Duties and Responsibilities
Develop new features handling both the front end and back end development work. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define technical requirements and deliverables. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, quality, and security guidelines. Collaborate on architectural decisions to align with long-term business goals. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in a computer related field 7+ years’ experience in Software Development 4+ years; experience in Cloud Development, both front and back Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong Node.js/Java Script — everything is Node (20/24).
Notably must be comfortable with both module systems. AWS serverless architecture — Lambda, SQS, S3, Secrets Manager, Dynamo DB API Gateway. Both APIs are built on Serverless Framework v4 with serverless-offline for local dev. Postgre SQL with Knex + Objection.js — both products use this exact ORM stack. Comfort writing and rolling back migrations is a real day-to-day skill here. React + Next.js 14 —Solid React with Next.js fundamentals with form-heavy, table-heavy CRUD UI experience. Comfort working within an internal design system — including debugging CSS specificity/source-order issues rather than reaching for a rewrite. SOAP and XML processing — Both products interface with existing internal and third-party systems using SOAP interfaces with XML. Document and image handling — TIFF/PNG processing, PDF generation.
