As Mechanical Design Technician you will support the design, development, fabrication, and implementation of fixtures, tooling, and equipment solutions for NPI and manufacturing processes. This position works closely with FED engineers and cross-functional teams to create CAD models, drawings, prototypes, and technical documentation while assisting in equipment validation, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What will you do? Create and maintain 3 D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation for fixtures, tooling, and support equipment. Support the development, fabrication, assembly, and validation of fixture and equipment solutions for NPI and manufacturing. Operate and maintain resin and filament 3 D printers to support prototyping and fixture development activities. Assist engineers in prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and equipment implementation activities.



Support fixture validations and production trials on the manufacturing floor in collaboration with NPI, Manufacturing, and Quality teams. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to support production needs and process improvements. Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to obtain components, materials, and fabricated parts. Maintain accurate BOMs, drawings, and engineering records in accordance with company standards. Support equipment installation, startup, validation, and operator training activities. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
What are we looking for? Proficiency in 3 D CAD software (Solid Works preferred) and technical drawing creation. Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly methods. Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawing interpretation. Experience oper
