Position Overview The Automation Projects Engineer plays a critical role in driving manufacturing automation initiatives across our operations. This position is responsible for leading automation projects from concept through commissioning and handoff,



while supporting productivity improvements, equipment standardization, and operational excellence goals. The successful candidate will directly contribute to increased manufacturing output, process optimization, and the implementation of advanced automation technologies that support Hunter Douglas' strategic growth objectives.
Lead automation projects from concept development through commissioning, startup, and final handoff to operations.
Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and industrial automation systems for manufacturing applications.
Integrate automation technologies including industrial networks, vision systems, VFDs, servo motion controls, and database connectivity platforms.
Collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to identify and implement process improvements that increase throughput and efficiency.
Manage and coordinate internal stakeholders, external supplier
