Role Description

The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site position based in Chihuahua, CHH. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting in month-end and year-end close processes. The Staff Accountant will prepare and review financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies. Day-to-day tasks include processing invoices and expenses, managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash transactions, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies.



The role also supports internal and external audits, provides financial data for management reporting, and contributes to continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide clear, accurate reporting to management.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain financial information clearly.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Experience in an international or multi-entity environment is beneficial, as is familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and commitment to ethical financial practices.
