About the Role

A fintech company in Mexico's consumer lending sector is seeking an experienced Legal & Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance, legal risk, and consumer protection while supporting its SOFOM operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage SOFOM governance, registrations, and regulatory filings with CNBV and CONDUSEF.
- Oversee lending agreements, debt collection, and consumer protection compliance.
- Manage data privacy, contracts, employment law matters, and external legal counsel.




- Monitor Mexican regulatory developments and coordinate compliance matters with China headquarters.

Requirements
- Mexican law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) and valid Cédula Cualificado.
- Valid CNBV PLD/FT certification, as specified by the employer.
- 5–10 years of relevant legal experience in consumer finance, SOFOM, lending, or collections.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Native-level Spanish and professional English proficiency.
- Experience with CNBV, CONDUSEF, or fintech regulatory projects is an advantage.
