About the RoleA growing U.S.-based Family Law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Paralegal / Case Manager to take meaningful ownership of complex Florida family law matters.This is a senior-level role for a legal professional who goes beyond completing assigned tasks. The idóneo candidate understands the full picture of each case, anticipates attorney needs, identifies potential issues, manages deadlines proactively, and helps move cases forward with strong judgment and initiative.You will work directly with experienced attorneys and play an important role in case preparation, discovery, financial analysis, client communication, and the continued development of internal workflows and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesCase Management & Attorney SupportMaintain a comprehensive understanding of assigned cases, including facts, procedural status, discovery, financial matters, deadlines, and outstanding needs.Proactively monitor cases and identify missing information, upcoming deadlines, and potential issues.Prepare attorneys for mediations, hearings, depositions, and trials.Create case chronologies, issue summaries, discovery summaries, financial summaries, exhibit lists, and supporting materials.Track cases from intake through resolution and ensure important deadlines and tasks are not overlooked.Legal Document PreparationDraft and prepare initial filings, pleadings, motions, notices, and other court documents.Prepare and review financial affidavits and supporting documentation.Assist with marital settlement agreements, parenting plans, and settlement-related documents.Draft discovery requests, responses, subpoenas, deficiency correspondence, and related materials.Review documents for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and attention to detail.Financial & Discovery ReviewReview financial affidavits, income documentation, expenses, assets, liabilities, bank records, and opposing-party disclosures.Identify inconsistencies, omissions, unusual transactions, incomplete responses,
and unexplained financial information.Track outstanding discovery and document requests.Recommend additional discovery or follow-up when information is incomplete or raises additional questions.Organize complex financial information so attorneys can quickly understand the financial position of each party.Florida Family Law & E-FilingPrepare and submit documents through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal .Monitor filing acceptances, rejected filings, service requirements, and procedural follow-up.Schedule hearings using applicable Florida county scheduling systems.Navigate county-specific procedures, court divisions, local administrative requirements, and judicial preferences.Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files.Client & Professional CommunicationCommunicate professionally and compassionately with clients throughout sensitive family law matters.Follow up with clients regarding required documents, outstanding information, deadlines, and case updates.Communicate with attorneys, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, process servers, and other legal professionals.Recognize issues that require immediate attorney attention.Handle confidential personal and financial information with discretion.Technology & WorkflowMaintain accurate information in case-management and document-management systems.Work efficiently with digital files, shared drives, electronic filing platforms, and legal technology.Use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related applications confidently.Help improve internal procedures, templates, checklists, and case-management workflows.Support the development and training of additional legal support team members as the practice grows.Required Qualifications5+ years of hands-on Florida Family Law paralegal experience.Experience independently managing or taking significant ownership of family law cases.Strong knowledge of Florida family law procedures and documentation.Demonstrated experience drafting pleadings, motions, financial affidavits, discovery, parenting plans,
and settlement-related documents.Strong experience reviewing financial disclosures and identifying inconsistencies or missing information.Experience preparing attorneys for mediations, hearings, depositions, and/or trials.Hands-on experience with the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal .Experience with Florida county-specific filing and hearing scheduling procedures.Strong written and verbal English communication skills.Exceptional organization, attention to detail, judgment, and deadline management.Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication with attorneys and team members.Ability to manage multiple active cases and competing priorities.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Clio .Experience with SharePoint .Experience creating or improving legal procedures, templates, workflows, and checklists.Previous experience training, mentoring, or supervising paralegals or legal support professionals.Experience working in a growing U.S. law firm where initiative and independent judgment are highly valued.Ideal CandidateYou are proactive, detail-oriented, and confident taking ownership of your cases.You do not wait to be told what needs attention.
