high-volume security data, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, 100+ enterprise integrations, scalable APIs, PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure, and multi-tenant data architecture
.
You'll have meaningful ownership over the systems that ingest, process, enrich, and move security data across the platform while improving reliability, performance, scalability, and observability.
If you enjoy solving complex
backend, infrastructure, data, and integration problems at scale
, this role is a strong fit.
What You'll Own
Backend Engineering – Go & APIs
Build and maintain backend services primarily using
Go (Golang)
Design scalable REST APIs and internal microservices
Build production services designed for reliability and scale
Implement:
Authentication
Rate limiting
Retry mechanisms
Fault tolerance
Robust error handling
Diagnose performance bottlenecks and improve backend efficiency
Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code
Improve existing services as platform usage and data volume grow
Enterprise Integrations

100+ enterprise systems
Work extensively with:
REST APIs
OAuth
Webhooks
External services
Design integrations that remain reliable as customer usage and data volume scale
Handle external API failures, rate limits, retries, and changing dependencies
Troubleshoot integration failures and improve resilience
Implement monitoring and observability around integration health
Maintain reliable data exchange between the platform and third-party systems
Event-Driven Systems & Data Pipelines
Design event-driven architectures for processing security data
Build pipelines for:
Data ingestion
Transformation
Enrichment
Work with asynchronous processing, messaging systems, and distributed workflows
Process high-volume data reliably and efficiently
Improve pipeline performance and fault tolerance
Identify bottlenecks within distributed processing workflows
Design systems that can scale as data volume increases
PostgreSQL & Data Architecture
Design scalable data models for multi-tenant applications
Work extensively with
PostgreSQL
Design and maintain database schemas
Optimize complex queries and indexes
Diagnose database performance issues
Support both operational and analytics-oriented data requirements
Maintain data integrity as the platform scales
Consider scalability and performance when designing new data models
Cloud Infrastructure & Observability
Deploy and operate services across cloud environments, with
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred
Work with scalable compute, managed storage, and messaging infrastructure
Implement:
Monitoring
Logging
Observability
Diagnose production issues systematically
Improve service reliability and platform stability

Contribute to infrastructure and platform scalability initiatives
Help ensure production systems remain observable as complexity grows
Architecture & Platform Development
Collaborate closely with:
Product
Security
Engineering
Participate in architecture decisions and technical design reviews
Identify opportunities to improve:
Reliability
Scalability
Performance
Maintainability
Contribute to platform architecture as requirements evolve
Support
AI-powered security workflows and automation initiatives
Take ownership of technical problems from investigation through resolution
Requirements
Strong professional backend software engineering experience
Proficiency in
Go/Golang
, or strong professional experience with
Python, Java, or TypeScript
with willingness to transition to Go
Experience building production APIs and distributed backend systems
Strong relational database experience, ideally
PostgreSQL
Experience with at least one major cloud platform:
GCP
AWS
Azure
Hands-on understanding of:
REST APIs
Webhooks
Authentication systems
Asynchronous processing
Database design
Database optimization
Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities
Ability to independently own technical problems through resolution
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams
Availability during
U.S. business hours
Nice to Have
Experience with any of the following is highly valuable:
OAuth
Event-driven architectures
Message queues and asynchronous systems
Distributed systems
High-volume data pipelines
Multi-tenant SaaS architecture
Cybersecurity platforms
SIEM systems
Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Endpoint security platforms
Startup or high-growth engineering environments
AI/LLM-powered applications and workflows
Core Technology Stack
Backend:
Go / Golang
Database:
PostgreSQL
APIs & Integrations:
REST | OAuth | Webhooks
Cloud:
GCP Preferred | AWS | Azure
Architecture:
Microservices | Distributed Systems | Event-Driven Processing
Infrastructure:
Messaging Systems | Monitoring | Logging | Observability
What Makes You a Strong Fit
You'll likely thrive in this role if you:
Prefer backend and systems engineering over frontend/UI development
Have built production systems designed for scale
Enjoy working with Go or want to make it your primary backend language
Understand that integrations must handle failures, retries, rate limits, and changing external APIs
Think carefully about distributed systems and asynchronous processing
Care about clean architecture and long-term maintainability
Think deeply about reliability, performance, and observability
Are comfortable optimizing databases and investigating performance bottlenecks
Can troubleshoot complex production issues systematically
Take ownership without requiring constant direction
Enjoy fast-moving,

engineering-heavy environments
What a Typical Day Looks Like
Your day may begin by reviewing system health, integration performance, or an issue affecting production data processing.
Throughout the day, you could build and ship backend services in Go, design an integration with an enterprise platform, troubleshoot a production integration, optimize PostgreSQL queries and indexes, or improve API performance.
You may also build or refine event-driven data pipelines, review architecture decisions with other engineers, improve monitoring and observability, or contribute to AI-powered security and automation workflows.
In short:
you'll build the scalable backend infrastructure, integrations, APIs, and data systems that power a modern cybersecurity platform.
