This position overseas the customs clerks and manages day-to-day execution across all 3 maquiladoras.
This position serves as a first escalation point for operations and customs brokers.Supervise customs personnel at 3 Mexico plantsCreate uniform and efficient processes across the 3 plantsImport and Export Documentation flow and accuracyCoordination of capital equipment inventoryCoordination of temporary and permanent import and export operationsAnnual US Customs ReconciliationReceive certificates of origin and mill certificates for raw materials,



machinery and equipment for the application of tax benefitsAssist in assignment of tariff classification of materials and equipment to be importedUpdating IMMEX software with required information for new itemsCoordinate and consult with compliance team in US and CanadaKnowledge / Skill / AbilitiesProficient management of the IMMEX customs softwareStrong working knowledge of Mexican foreign trade regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.Ability to manage multiple transactions with high attention to detail.Qualifications / Prior ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of experience within the maquiladora industry in customs.Work Environment / Other RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Salary Transparency:The salary range for this position varies depending on the candidate's experience, English language proficiency, applicable certifications, and the level of complexity of the assigned site, within local market parameters.
