Job Description:

The R&D; Testing Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, testing, evaluation, and validation of cosmetic and personal care products. This position conducts laboratory testing, evaluates raw materials and finished products, supports production trials, investigates product issues, and works closely with R&D;, Quality, Regulatory, and Production teams to ensure products meet established quality, safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.

Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical and physicochemical testing of cosmetic and personal care products, including viscosity, pH, density, texture/rheology, color, appearance, odor, melting point/slip point, spread ability, and other applicable product characteristics.
- Develop and perform testing protocols for product stability, compatibility, and performance.
- Conduct and monitor real-time and accelerated stability studies,



document results, and identify potential formulation or stability issues.
- Evaluate raw materials, bulk products, finished products, and production batches against approved specifications and standards.
- Support first production, pilot batches, and scale-up trials, and identify potential formulation, process, or quality risks.
- Conduct and support packaging compatibility and seal integrity testing, including product/package interaction, leakage, container closure integrity, and dispensing performance.
- Investigate product testing abnormalities, including color, texture, viscosity, stability, appearance, and other physical or chemical characteristics, and support root-cause investigations.
- Work closely with R&D;, Quality, Regulatory, Production, and external laboratories to coordinate microbiological, safety, dermatological, and other specialized testing.
