A Snapshot of Your DayAs a Transportation & Logistics Engineer, you will support NewBuild, Service Operations, Aftermarket, and Large Corrective projects bydeveloping and validating transportation solutions for heavy-lift and oversizedwind turbine components.
Working closely with Logistics Project Managers, EHSteam, carriers, and customers.
You will ensure transportation activities areengineered, planned, and executed safely and efficiently.
Your day may includereviewing transportation and lift plans, performing engineering calculations,evaluating route feasibility, supporting site assessments, and ensuringcompliance with Siemens Energy transportation standards.
Your expertise willplay a key role in delivering components safely, on time, and in accordancewith contractual and regulatory requirements.How You'll Make an Impact- Review and approve transportation engineeringdocumentation, including method statements, lashing plans, lift plans, riggingplans, various trailer configurations, and RORO operations.
- Perform axle load, load distribution,center-of-gravity, and transport feasibility calculations for heavy andoversized cargo.
- Support route surveys, site assessments, and trialruns while identifying infrastructure improvements required for safetransportation operations.
- Review civil engineering and construction plansrelated to transportation access roads, laydown areas, and project logisticsinfrastructure.
- Develop transportation engineering drawings andanalyses using AutoCAD, AutoTURN, GIS, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Collaborate with Logistics, EHS, carriers, andcustomers to ensure compliance with safety standards, project requirements,



andSiemens Energy procedures.What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, or a related engineering field.
- +8 years of experience in transportation engineering,heavy-haul logistics, route analysis, or a related field.
- Experience performing route surveys, permittingactivities, transportation planning, and coordination of oversized cargooperations preferablyin wind power logistics.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoTURN, GIS applications,and Microsoft Office tools.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)required to effectively communicate with North American customers, carriers,suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of structural, civil, andtransportation engineering principles, including load and stabilitycalculations, with willingness to travel up to 40% within the United States andCanada.About the TeamYou will join the North America ON Logistics team, supporting logisticsoperations for new-build wind farm projects and service-related transportationactivities.
The team works closely with internal stakeholders, carriers, portoperators, warehouse providers, and customers to ensure the safe and efficientmovement of wind turbine components across North America.
