Ohana Design Services is a vibrant, multi-cultural boutique entity focused on high-end residential resort design. The function of the position we are seeking is to manage all aspects of planning, budgeting, coordination, and execution of our interior design projects. Using in-depth knowledge of design principles, concepts, and best practices, we are looking for an individual who can develop comprehensive project plans and manage execution, ensuring efficient, accurate, and on-budget implementation. Qualified individuals must be 100% proficient in English, have a design solution-centered focus, and possess the ability to take ownership, anticipate challenges, and effectively manage multiple priorities.

Role and Responsibilities:

Project Initiation and Client Coordination
· Collaborate with Clients and internal leadership to understand and define project scope, objectives, priorities, and deliverables.
· Ensure design agreements and Client proposals are fully executed and project requirements are established prior to initiating the work plan.
· Participate in Client meetings, presentations, and project discussions, communicating project status, priorities, and next steps clearly and professionally.
Project Planning and Management
· Establish, manage, and maintain comprehensive project plans for Interior Design deliverables, schedules, timelines, and milestones.
· Adhere to established internal deadlines and manage project deliverables throughout all phases, ensuring alignment with project priorities and requirements.
· Manage project information, documentation, and deliverables in accordance with departmental standards.
· Maintain oversight of project deliverables and timelines throughout all phases, taking ownership of follow-through, identifying priorities and dependencies, and ensuring work stays on track through completion.
· Anticipate potential issues and proactively develop solutions to prevent challenges from impacting project timelines, quality, or execution.
Procure, manage, and coordinate the storage and shipping of physical samples as required
Design Development and Technical Review
· Execute and oversee luxury design standards, ensuring functional and aesthetic excellence.
· Lead the development of interior architecture projects, aligning design solutions with project objectives, timelines, budgets, and implementation requirements.
· Analyze, guide,



and confirm space planning and design strategies to support successful implementation of interior design solutions.
· Collaborate with Clients, architects, outside consultants, and internal teams to refine design concepts and develop thoughtful solutions.
· Oversee and approve interior drawings and review construction documentation, including schedules, specifications, and shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent and installation requirements.
· Perform detailed and thorough redlining of DD and CD sets, ensuring compliance with design standards, functionality standards, and quality control requirements.
· Document interior building elements for custom-built homes, including tile, flooring, millwork, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and finishes.
· Develop, refine, and update workflows between Interior Design, Architecture, and Construction teams.
Coordination and Communication
· Coordinate and communicate effectively with Clients, Designers, architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal design and construction teams.
· Lead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with internal and external teams to align on project priorities, deliverables, dependencies, and milestones.
· Present design concepts and selections to Clients, either independently or in collaboration with the Director.
· Prepare and distribute project updates, action items, and work-plan updates as required.
· Promote a positive team environment, encouraging communication, collaboration, and cohesion.
Documentation and Reporting
· Document all aspects of the design and project-management process and maintain project data in accordance with departmental standards.
· Prepare physical and digital presentation materials for Client meetings and project reviews.
Site Observation and Compliance
· Conduct site visits to oversee installations, troubleshoot issues, verify compliance with project documentation and design intent, and maintain design integrity.




· Prepare site observation reports and communicate required follow-up or corrective actions to the appropriate project teams.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
· 4+ years of experience in luxury design, interior architecture, or project management.
· Proven experience managing complex, high-end custom residential projects from design development through construction and installation.

· Strong technical fluency in architectural drawings, interior detailing, millwork, finishes, lighting, and construction coordination, with the ability to effectively coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal design teams.
· Strong design judgment with the ability to understand and protect creative intent and develop thoughtful design solutions when information is incomplete or evolving.
· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· 100% proficiency in English.
