NetSuite Techno-Functional Consultant
Location: Mexico Remote (Monterrey, CDMX, or Tijuana/Ensenada)

Overview
Buxton Consulting is continuing to grow our NetSuite practice. We've recently completed one of the largest NetSuite deployments in the market to date, consolidating SAP, Oracle EBS, and System 32 into a single NetSuite instance for a major TMT (Technology, Media & Telecommunications) client.

We are building on this momentum and hiring a new NetSuite team member to support our ongoing Managed Service engagements and new implementations.

Key Responsibilities
Functional/Project-Based: Lead business requirement gathering sessions and translate business needs into configurations or customizations.
Implementation Leadership: For new module rollouts, conduct "fit-gap" analysis to guide clients toward standard features where possible, while clearly articulating the ROI and maintenance trade-offs of custom development.
Managed Services: Own the lifecycle after the client's "functional grooming" of a ticket, from solution design, acceptance criteria, to final deployment.
Technical Execution: Develop, test, and deploy customizations using SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.x) , SuiteTalk, and SuiteFlow to extend NetSuite functionality beyond "out of the box" capabilities.
Artificial Intelligence (AI): Advise clients on the NetSuite AI roadmap, helping them leverage Suite Sense and other AI-driven features to automate financial and operational workflows.
Integration Management: Support integrations between NetSuite and third-party systems (e.g., Salesforce, Billing platforms, etc.).

Key Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in functional design, development, and administration of NetSuite.
Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in SuiteScript (JavaScript-based) and a deep understanding of the NetSuite data model and SuiteCloud platform.
AI Acumen:



Ability to understand how NetSuite is utilizing AI in their product and advise clients on utilizing AI for predictive analytics and process improvement.
Consultative Mindset: In implementations, the ability to advocate for "out of the box" best practices vs. custom extensions, managing client expectations effectively.
Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating clear solution design documents (SDD) and user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts.
Language: Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required to support our integral client base.
Certification: NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant or Certified Developer is a significant plus.

Must Have Experience
Good understanding of ERP core business processes such as Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and financial management (GL, AR, AP)
Experience with NetSuite's configuration including SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow (workflows) and Save Searches
Ability to support NetSuite Application Users in day-to-day issue resolution
Experience in providing administrative system support across Production and Sandbox environments
Experience with Reports and Dashboards
Experience with Inbound and Outbound integrations with NetSuite
Ability to provide training for users to perform their day-to-day jobs by explaining NetSuite standard practices
Experience on the advanced financials (One World, Inter-company Elimination, Financial Reporting.
Experience on the Advanced Revenue Recognition.
Experience on the OneSource or NetSuite taxation.

Nice to have
Experience with integration tools such as Workato.
Experience supporting Zone or other billing platforms.
TMT industry experiences with, for example, the transition from an asset-based business to subscription business models.
