Job Summary
Position: Vulnerability Team Coordinator Primary Location: Nearshore The Vulnerability Coordinator is primarily responsible for investigating vulnerabilities identified by IT Security as risk to company each month. The investigation process will identify what options are available from the software vendors to address vulnerabilities. Based on these options the vulnerability team will provide choices to the impacted users with steps to proceed. Options can include upgrading to latest version of the software, removing the app, or choosing another product if the software has gone end of life. Metrics are important part of this process to track vulnerabilities and the remediation process. Key Responsibilities to include but are not limited to: • Assist the Business Analyst in investigating vulnerabilities • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines • Ability to analyze and evaluate data • Identifies vulnerabilities by CVE score i.e. (1-10 where 9 and greater are Critical) • Research internet/software vendor websites for application details • Determine next steps based on research performed i.e. (Remediation by patch/software removal/software upgrade, identifies non active devices to be removed from the network, etc.) • Recommend alternatives if/when programs are required to be removed/uninstalled • Hosts daily touchpoint call with the Vulnerability SWAT Team members • Drafts end-user communications • Engages leadership for communication approval • Engages leadership for change approval • Engages leadership for guidance • Ensures Kanban tickets are updated daily • Works to obtain access and perform KT on tracking vulnerability status and updates (working with Tiffany) • Provides daily leadership update using the provided standard template Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (i.e. 7+ years’ experience in an IT technical role) • 5+ years’ direct experience in business analyst or project manager role • 7+ years’ experience in working corporate environment with minimum 10,000 employees.
