ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Peraton is seeking a Tajikistan Linguist and Cultural Advisor (CULAD) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting a large program.
Location: On-site, Camp Xiphos, Jordan (Secure US Military Compound)
Role and Responsibilities:
- The Tajiki Linguist/CULAD will provide continuous monitoring, expert analysis, and assessment of global, regional, and tailored area geopolitical media and news sources.
- The position is an unaccompanied one-year assignment that can be extended by the customer and if elected by the individual chosen to provide support.
- Shift work may be required.
You will:
- Gather information on trends, behaviors,
events and directed integral developments to generate media synopsis reports and assessments of local geopolitics and foreign media discourse.
- Provide expert advice to DoD/MIL leadership of social media influence operations, draft policy, doctrine, decisions, trends concepts, and studies.
- Produce predictive recommendations and identify anticipated strategic communications opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and support communications plans.
- Monitor industry and technology trends in traditional, digital, social, mobile media.
- Use directed, or design research methods appropriate to pre-defined client criteria.
- Interpret and analyze oral and written source material such as classified reports, data, briefings and conversations.
- Provide cultural expertise in written or oral form in both native Tajik and U.S. English.
