Responsible for project acceptance and for verification that the customer Purchase Order matches the quoted work scope, and that terms and conditions are negotiated to mutual satisfaction of the customer and Sulzer Chemtech. Manages overall project scheduling. Assesses the impact of change requests and revises the project schedule and price as appropriate. Responsible for daily communications and formal project reviews with the customer, internal management, informing them of milestones, problems, situations which increase the risk on a project, corrective actions, and results. Provides direction to the various functional areas within the organization on their individual contribution within the order's scope of supply, schedule, and budget. Analytical and problem-solving skills, for developing and implementing solutions to problems with assigned projects is important. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills are critical, as required to meet with customers, relay project status or change information, and maintain a professional image that reflects positively on the organization. Strong computer skills, as required in working with word processing, database and spreadsheet applications. The ability to successfully use MS Project or other similar project management software is essential. Knowledge of contract management requirements including familiarity with terms and conditions of sale is important.
