About the Role
At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Shopify Web Developer / Store Builder to build, customize, and maintain premium Shopify storefronts for B2B clients while leading the complete redesign of the company’s primary website.
This is a hands-on development role focused on creating high-performing, visually polished, responsive, and conversion-optimized Shopify stores. You’ll work across custom theme development, front-end implementation, product and collection configuration, third-party integrations, performance optimization, and eCommerce UX.
You’ll also collaborate closely with designers to translate Figma designs into fully functional Shopify storefronts using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

What You’ll Own
Shopify Store Development
- Build custom Shopify storefronts from the ground up using client branding and design assets
- Customize Shopify themes to create premium, conversion-focused online stores
- Configure and maintain:

Build responsive experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobileEnsure storefronts are fast-loading and optimized for mobile devicesMaintain consistent functionality and design quality across multiple Shopify buildsBuild production-ready storefronts aligned with client requirementsWebsite Redesign & Optimization
- Lead the complete redesign and rebrand of the company’s primary Shopify website

- Develop and customize Shopify themes using:

- Apply eCommerce UX and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) principles throughout development
- Build intuitive navigation and purchasing experiences
- Optimize customer journeys to reduce unnecessary friction
- Balance visual design with usability and conversion objectives
- Maintain strong responsive design standards
- Improve page speed and overall storefront performance
- Ensure experiences remain consistent across devices
Collaboration & Project Management
- Collaborate with designers to translate Figma designs into fully functional Shopify stores
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver projects within agreed timelines
- Manage multiple Shopify builds simultaneously
- Maintain development quality while balancing multiple priorities
- Communicate project progress and blockers through Slack and other collaboration tools
- Take ownership of assigned projects through development, testing, and launch
- Collaborate asynchronously with distributed team members
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience
- Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating
- Advanced front-end development skills using:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
Experience building custom Shopify themes or performing extensive theme customizationProven experience leading complete website redesign or rebranding projectsStrong understanding of:
- eCommerce UX
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
- Responsive design

Experience managing:

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Throughout the day, you could collaborate with designers to implement new Figma layouts, configure products and collections, integrate third-party Shopify applications, or troubleshoot storefront functionality.
You’ll also improve website performance, responsiveness, usability, and conversion rates while keeping the team informed of progress and blockers through Slack.
