• Lead the sourcing process for assigned spend categories and assist the Category Manager with developing the overall sourcing strategy and opportunity assessment.
• Drive organizational sourcing strategies through tactical and innovative sourcing programs; adapt to changing market conditions, support new business opportunities, and deliver on cost reduction strategies.
• Develop electronic request for proposal and negotiation strategies to deliver optimal cost values and supply assurances.
• Identify and manage procurement risks to minimize negative impacts on organizational objectives while encouraging opportunities and innovations.
Apply industry-specific research to ensure the sourcing approach identifies risks and insights are leveraged to drive value.
• Apply deep supply market intelligence, vendor performance scorecards, and cost benchmarking to manage price fluctuations and continually improve results and control of spending.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to provide strategic insights, resolve complex issues, and deliver high-performance cost, service, and quality outcomes.
• Assist with creating or amending department policies and processes.
• Monitor enterprise resource planning systems to ensure successful purchasing processes and order acceptances.

Education Level Description:
Required 4 Year Bachelor's degree required,
with a concentration in Business, Supply Chain, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
Experience Description:
Required A minimum of 5 years of supplier performance, procurement, or compliance experience required.
Strong understanding of contract management, supplier governance, and risk frameworks required.
Other Requirements
• Knowledge of and practical experience with strategic sourcing concepts and leading practices, including:
• Market analysis and benchmarking
• Contractual negotiation and contract management processes and insights
• Supplier performance management
• Supplier risk analysis
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, required. Oracle Supply Chain module experience preferred.
• Professional certifications (Certified Public Manager, Certified Professional in Supply Management, Certified in Production and Inventory Management) preferred.
• Approximately 5% of travel is required to support the position's responsibilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results
• Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
