Opportunity Basic Function
Work Mode: Onsite
Location: On site – Juarez, Actual León, México
Under the supervision of the Project Specialist /CIC, this position is responsible for implementing the adequate manufacturing processes and the continuous improvement projects aimed at achieving efficiency and productivity, as well as decreasing waste and cost. Improve working conditions using engineering techniques, update the standard times for all activities in the production areas, perform 5 S audits, and give follow‑up to KOS savings.
Specific Responsibilities
Develop activities such as cycle‑time reduction, worker effort and inventory reduction, floor improvement, to improve work conditions and reduce or eliminate waste.
Give follow‑up to activities such as cycle‑time reduction, worker effort, inventory reduction, and floor improvement, using the 7 waste‑reduction forms.
Analyze the process to determine the adequate work conditions related to space, layouts, lighting, breaks, manpower, tools, and equipment.
Support activities to complete time studies, slip weight, glaze weight, fired weight, and pack weight in both plants to determine the cost of each product.
Support activities during KOS events and all teams on the methodology application.
Maintain Standard Work studies updated with no more than 1 year old.
Maintain the Layered Process Audit updated and standardized.
Give follow‑up to achieve KOS Savings goals,



report savings on a monthly basis, achieve the goals, and create a new list for each year.
Provide support to all areas in the plant on structural fabrication to improve productivity, safety, and quality (Kaizen Team).
Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (see Responsibilities chart by position).
Skills / Requirements
Preference: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Preference: five years of related experience.
Preference: ability to understand SAP and VIS systems, Standard Cost and BOM structure. Bilingual (English & Spanish) is required. Lean tools knowledge.
