We are looking for a talented and passionate Optical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mexico, a key strategic region for Valeo’s growth in North America. You won’t just be designing lights; you will be creating the future of visibility and safety on a general scale.
What You’ll Achieve: Own the Optical Design lifecycle: Drive the feasibility, design, integration, and validation of our optical systems. Lead the simulation activities: Ensure the photometry, colorimetry, and lit appearance results comply with regulation. Innovate: Actively contribute to our culture of creativity, developing new solutions that enhance vehicle illumination or driver experience. Collaborate Globally: Work within a multicultural, international team, communicating with internal departments and international collaborators to ensure project success and technical excellence. What You’ll Bring to the Team: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Physics or a related technical field. Demonstrated experience close to optical field, optical design, simulation, and hands‑on laboratory validation.
Knowledge with optical design software (e.g., SPEOS, Zemax, Light Tools). A passion for problem‑solving and a deep analytical approach to technical challenges. Solid communication skills and the ability to grow in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. Fluency in English is required to operate in our international organization. Prior experience in the automotive industry or plastic optical design is a significant advantage.
