Supplier Quality Development Engineer

Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader, seeks a Supplier Quality Development Engineer to develop supplier QCD performance for a defined list of suppliers. The role supports series buyers in organizing and following up the quality systems and performance of critical suppliers.

Responsibilities

- Promote the deployment of Supplier Excellence System tools at suppliers.
- Ensure, organize, and coordinate related Supplier Development actions based on inputs from assessments, supplier nomination committees, program or series escalations.
- Carry out improvement and convergence plans with red‑list suppliers as defined or requested by commodity.
- Improve QCD performance for the dedicated supplier list through Supplier Development activities.
- Perform assessments according to FAURECIA standards and support the commodity buyer to obtain efficient action plans.
- Train suppliers on FAURECIA tools: QSE/7 Basics, PSE, and others.
- Give recommendations for supplier selection in programs and series.

Key Requirements

- Minimum Education Level:



Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Supplier Development.
- Quality experience and/or production experience.
- Experience with GD&T;, core tools, and problem solving.
- Skills and competencies: Project management methodology, quality basics, production system efficiency knowledge, supplier audit process, quality & productivity management, process knowledge, product knowledge, cost reduction and results orientation, strong written and oral communication skills.
- Nice to have: Logistic basis, cost modelling, negotiation skills, finance basics (rules, cost management tools, application).
