Montaplast of North America, Inc., is a integral automotive supplier committed to innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. To support our aggressive growth strategy in the Western US and Mexico we are recruiting a Key Account Manager (KAM) that will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships. This position leads commercial activities, coordinates cross-functional efforts, and develops strategies that achieve revenue growth, profitability, and long-term customer satisfaction. The KAM also serves as the customer’s advocate within the organization, ensuring products and services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts, serving as the primary commercial point of contact.

• Achieve annual sales, revenue, profitability, and business growth objectives for assigned accounts.

• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities through strategic customer engagement and business development activities.

• Develop customer account strategies and coordinate internal resources to successfully secure targeted business opportunities.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, and other departments to support customer programs throughout the product lifecycle.

• Communicate customer requirements, expectations, and strategic initiatives throughout the organization.





• Build and maintain relationships with key customer decision-makers within Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and other functional areas.

• Prepare, present, and negotiate commercial proposals, quotations, long-term agreements (LTAs), and pricing strategies for new and existing business.

• Coordinate commercial requirements, including long-term agreements (LTAs), business plans, annual pricing activities, and customer negotiations.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of customer requirements, product development processes, APQP, launch activities, quality systems, warranty expectations, and program management processes.

• Monitor customer scorecards and performance metrics while coordinating corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

• Analyze market conditions, competitive activity, pricing trends, and customer strategies to support business planning.

• Present company capabilities, products, technologies, and manufacturing expertise to customers.

• Coordinate annual revenue forecasts, budgets, and profitability targets for assigned accounts.

• Prepare reports, presentations,



and forecasts for executive leadership regarding account performance and business opportunities.

• Follow all company policies and procedures

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of five (5) years of automotive account management, business development, or commercial sales experience.

• Experience working with automotive OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers.

• Demonstrated success securing new business and managing strategic customer accounts.

• Experience in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, or automotive manufacturing preferred.

• Strong business, commercial, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

• Excellent English communications skills - verbal, written, and presentation, and overall interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of automotive product development, APQP, IATF 16949 quality systems, and customer-specific requirements.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Ability to interpret technical information and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM and ERP systems.

• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
