Role Overview The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is the key operational resource under the direct supervision of the Corporate Controller at EASO HUB. The primary responsibility of this role is to collect, structure, and deliver financial information from Mexico operations to the Finance team at Hub Group headquarters in the United States, ensuring that all data complies with US GAAP standards and meets the formats and deadlines required by the parent company. This is not a bookkeeping role — it is a financial translation role. The candidate converts Mexican accounting (NIF / SAT) into executive-ready US GAAP reports that Hub Group USA can consume directly. Strong written English and US GAAP proficiency are non-negotiable. 2. Education & Credentials Dimension Requirement Level Bachelor's Degree Accounting (CPA), Finance, or Business Administration Critical Specialization / Graduate Diploma or certification in US GAAP / IFRS (preferred) Preferred English B2–C1 level · Fluent written and spoken technical/financial English Critical Excel / BI Tools Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query). Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Critical 3. Professional Experience 3.1 Required Minimum Experience • 4–7 years of experience in accounting, corporate finance, or financial reporting. • Proven track record preparing financial reports for a US or international parent company . • Working knowledge of US GAAP : at minimum, key differences from Mexican NIF in P&L; and balance sheet. • Experience with monthly close cycles under strict deadlines (5 business days or fewer). • Hands-on use of an ERP : SAP, Oracle,
Dynamics 365, or equivalent. • Experience working under a Controller, CFO, or Finance Manager with international reporting responsibility . 3.2 Preferred Experience (Differentiating Factors) • Background at a Mexican subsidiary of a US or multinational corporation reporting to an Anglo-American parent. • Demonstrated experience building Variance Analysis or Flash Reports comparing Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast. • Knowledge of the logistics, transportation, or intermodal industry (not mandatory). • Exposure to intercompany reconciliations or transfer pricing in a Mexico–USA context. • Use of Power BI or Tableau to build executive financial dashboards. 4. Technical Competencies Area Knowledge Description Level US GAAP — Core Concepts Revenue recognition (ASC 606), depreciation differences, lease accounting (ASC 842), and provision treatment vs. Mexican NIF. Critical Mexican GAAP (NIF) NIF B-3 (income statement), D-3 (payroll), B-10 (inflation), SAT compliance, CFDI invoicing, and tax-accounting reconciliation. Critical Reporting to US HQ Preparation of Management Reports, Variance Analysis, and monthly close packages in English in the format required by Hub Group USA. Critical NIF → US GAAP Reconciliation Identify and document differences between both frameworks: deferred PTU, vacation accrual, fixed assets, service contracts. Critical ERP / Accounting Systems SAP FI/CO, Oracle Financials, Dynamics 365, or equivalent. Report extraction, cost centers, and period close. Critical Advanced Excel Pivot tables, Power Query, financial models, multi-entity consolidation, and basic dashboards.
Critical Payroll / IMSS Basics Knowledge of social security contributions, SUA, and overtime impact on the P&L.; Ability to flag IMSS exposure in reports. Preferred Financial English — Written Fluent drafting of variance commentary, executive emails, and financial reports in English for US audiences. Critical Power BI / Tableau Building financial KPI dashboards for presentation to the Controller and Hub Group USA leadership. Preferred 5. Key Deliverables The candidate will be responsible for producing and submitting the following recurring reports, coordinating with the Controller for review before each submission to the US: Frequency Report / Deliverable Language Recipient Weekly Flash Report: revenue, cost, and gross margin for the week vs. budget English Controller / US Finance Dir.
