**HR Business Partner**
**Location**: Mexicali - Onsite
**Salary**: MX$800,000 - MX$850,000 annually + benefits
**Position Overview**
The HR Business Partner will serve as the primary HR leader for assigned manufacturing sites, overseeing employee relations, labor compliance, payroll support, recruitment, workforce administration, and HR initiatives aligned with business objectives.
This role requires a hands-on HR professional with strong knowledge of **Mexican labor regulations**, experience supporting **manufacturing or maquiladora environments**, and the ability to manage HR operations independently while partnering with local site leadership and corporate HR teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as the main HR point of contact for manufacturing operations in Mexico.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and Mexican labor regulations.
- Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor requirements, including: LFT, IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, SAT, NOM standards.
- Support payroll processes, including pre-payroll validation, attendance tracking, reporting, and payroll coordination.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning activities.
- Oversee employee documentation and personnel records.
- Support IMSS processes, disability management, risk premiums, and workplace incident reporting.
- Coordinate employee programs such as PTU, savings fund, bonuses, and engagement initiatives.
- Promote employee wellbeing initiatives, including NOM-035 compliance.
- Prepare HR metrics, payroll reports, and compliance documentation for leadership.
- Partner with U.S.based corporate teams and site managers to support HR strategies and organizational goals.
- Support continuous improvement, organizational change, and employee engagement initiatives.




**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within **manufacturing, industrial, or maquiladora environments**.
- Strong experience managing employee relations, labor compliance, and workforce administration.
- Advanced knowledge of Mexican labor regulations and HR compliance processes.
- Bilingual proficiency in **Spanish and English** (oral and written communication required).
- Experience supporting multi-site HR operations and managing diverse employee populations.
- Experience with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and government reporting tools such as: SUA, IDSE, Nomipaq, Contpaq-i.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with corporate and site leadership.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to manage both strategic initiatives and daily HR operations.
- Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately *****%, including occasional U.S. travel.
