**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The Quality Manager provides strategic and hands‐on leadership for all quality assurance, quality control, and customer‐facing quality activities.
This role ensures product conformity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across plant processes.
The Quality Manager drives systemic problem‐solving, reduces escapes, and strengthens the plant's Quality Management System (QMS) to support Safety & Quality while enabling Delivery, Cost, & Growth.
**Major Responsibilities**:
Lead the plant's Quality function, including Quality Engineering, Quality Technicians, and inspectors.
Develop and deploy the plant Quality strategy aligned to segment and enterprise objectives.
Own the plant QMS and ensure compliance with ISO ****:**** and applicable UL/CSA/CE motor standards.
Establish and maintain Quality policies, procedures, Serve as the decisive point of escalation for customer issues and critical nonconformances.
Maintain and improve in‐process inspection plans, control plans, and process capability metrics.
Ensure traceability of critical components and serialized motors.
Recruit, mentor, and develop Quality Engineers, Technicians, and inspectors.
Build a culture of accountability, problem solving, and initiative-taking Quality ownership.




Analyze trends and provide data driven recommendations to Operations and Engineering
Present Quality performance to plant and segment leadership
Manage, customer audits, and third-party ISO audits.
Ensure readiness for UL/CSA inspections and compliance with motor safety standards.
Oversee document control, change management, and engineering deviation processes.
Implement SPC, mistake proofing (poka yoke), and error proofing solutions in high-risk processes.
Attend customer visits, meetings and approve customer corrective actions.
**Required Education / Experience / Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
- 5+ years
- Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma acquired within 3 years; Black Belt in Lean Sigma preferred.
- Computer literacy.
