Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.Brief Description The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for helping to drive continuous improvement activities through process improvements and increased efficiencies to directly impact the overall performance objectives for the company and compliance to AS**** requirements and/or division.
This position significantly impacts Regal Rexnord's ability in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
This position is Located in Chihuahua, MXKey AccountabilitiesUtilizes key mechanical design and manufacturing principles, such as Statics, Dynamics, Mechanical Design, Thermodynamics, Materials and Heat Transfer to effectively make decisions impacting product quality, delivery and costReduce scrap and non-conformances by eliminating waste and variation in all formsDrives root cause corrective actions to reduce non-conformancesOptimize productivity through efficient, ergonomic and safe work station and tooling designsRemain current in new Manufacturing Engineering technology, new manufacturing techniques and new equipment.Recommend new approaches where feasibleLead and participate in Kaizen events based on VSM RoadmapsUtilizes RBS tools to solve problems and continuously improve.Strives to achieve facilitator certifications in specific RBS toolsPromote and facilitate the use/establishment of continuous improvement tools.Assist in developing and implementing the lean manufacturing action plans to support achievement of strategy deployment and strategic business growth.Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist others in solving problems using problem solving tools such as DMAICDevelop and implement manufacturing cost out projects.Assist manufacturing and assembly associates to resolve set-up, tooling and fixture problems, special process (heat treatment, plating and welding) and selection of proper tooling and grinding wheels.Develop, maintain and implement process routings and set-up instructions for the production of parts and assembliesJob RequirementsBS in Engineering, or related technical field requiredA minimum of three years of engineering experience working in a manufacturing plant environmentAt least one year of experience with grinding, turning, and milling machineryStrong understanding of key manufacturing principles, such as Statics, Dynamics, Mechanical Design, Thermodynamics, Materials and Heat TransferAbility to extract critical data and analyze data to make informed business decisions.Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plusExcellent computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)Demonstrated proficiency in project management.Team orientated with the ability to influence others without authorityAbout Regal RexnordRegal Rexnord is a publicly held integral industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit and control motion.
