The KYC Specialist guides, protects and safeguards Bitso's reputation while protecting our users. The team uses state-of-the-art technology to on-board Users onto the Bitso platform. As a KYC Specialist, you will set up Users for immediate success by facilitating the account opening process for new accounts, will educate new Users, help solve any queries raised, and ensure smooth adoption of our products and services. Also, the KYC Specialist is responsible for conducting a risk evaluation of new and existing clients with certain high-risk attributes in conjunction with the client's KYC Profile and needs to be able to understand risk concepts, identify root causes, and analyze complex issues Bitso prioritizes delivering an amazing User experience and this is the first step in the process.

- Ensure Users receive and awesome UX
- Become a Bitso SME in relation to onboarding requirements
- Clearly communicate account setup requirements and expectations with Users
- Provide detailed account walkthroughs and assist many new Users with onboarding requirements
- Record and resolve customer issues from raised ticket while connecting with Compliance and Customer Support teams when required
- Assess various components of the KYC Profile which may include: Client Information, Documentation, Ownership Structure, Name Screening Matches, Local Requirements, etc
- Escalate AML/Fraud concerns or any significant suspicious activities to Compliance team
- Collaborate with Product owners and tribes leveraging feedback for continuous improvement to the onboarding process

**Who you are**:
- 1-2 years of experience is KYC activities.
- Passionate about providing great customer experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to critically think and assess complex issues
- Knowledge of AML legislation and regulatory requirements is a plus no experience necessary
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
