Our small, high-impact team that sits within our Chief Customer Office (CCO) operates at the intersection of AI, data science, and business strategy, building solutions that make sense of complex, unstructured data to drive meaningful business outcomes.
**The Role**
**What You'll Do**
- Architect & Implement AI Solutions - Design and deploy AI-driven insights tools that leverage Google Vertex AI, AWS SageMaker, and Azure Machine Learning to support business decisions.
- Data Science & NLP Expertise - Develop and refine NLP models using spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, and NLTK, leveraging Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to extract insights from unstructured data.
- End-to-End Model Development - Build, train, and deploy machine learning models using Python, R, and JavaScript, incorporating data science libraries like Pandas, Polars, NumPy, and SciPy.
- Data Engineering & Automation - Design and optimize data pipelines, working with SQL and NoSQL databases, and automate reporting workflows using xlwings, python-pptx, and python-docx.
- Strategic Insights & Thought Leadership - Translate complex, ambiguous problems into actionable recommendations by asking the right questions, exploring data, and distilling findings into clear business insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with internal stakeholders across engineering, product, and business teams to ensure AI solutions align with Slalom’s strategy and industry needs.
**What You'll Bring**




- Hands-on experience working with and delivering solutions in a cloud environment (GCP, AWS, and/or Azure).
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to extract insights from unstructured data.
- Expertise in Python, SQL, ETL pipeline development, and data processing.
- Experience in building knowledge graphs, embeddings, and predictive insights, with the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and executive audiences.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT, Hugging Face).
- Ability to mix state-of-the-art AI techniques with proven, traditional analytics, choosing the right approach for each use case.
- Ability to work directly with stakeholders to develop timelines, navigate complexity, adapt quickly, and drive clarity in ambiguous situations.
- Proficiency in GitHub/Bitbucket, version control, branch management, and agile development methodologies.
- A mentor / coach mentality
- Fluent English (C1 level or higher) is required.
