**Role Purpose**
Responsible for oversight of the Design Submittal review process, including reviewing all required submittals for the assigned Brand Studio in each specified category as directed. Ensure effective implementation of the submittal process serving as a primary contact with internal and external teams in support of delivering responses to design submittals timely.
Responsible for providing direct support Plan Review teams by managing hotel projects aligned with assigned Manager within the Plan Review team. Serve as a recognized architectural and design support expert within the family of IHG brands.
**Key Accountabilities**
Design Submittal Support
- Assist in the implementation of regional broad-base brand-specific programs.
- Review of all assigned submittal types for the Studio, including hard copy and electronic format
- Provide consistent accountability to the assigned teams to meet assigned turnaround times for Accelerated and Standard Plan Reviews.
- Assist with the management and execution of initiatives, including internal communications and/or project related activities/events.
- Develop tracking mechanisms using the DPM system to improve overall turnaround times for the department.
- Support the Business Process team with projects as necessary
PIP/Plan Review and Design Support
- Monitor team pending submittals on a weekly basis to organize weekly support tasks in a process that best engages reviews in a proactive manner to maintain required turnaround times.
- Provide Design Review support for Regional Managers, focusing under the premise of time is of the essence by providing reviews with a sense of urgency.
- Provide clear design reviews (with recap) to Regional managers allowing them to provide necessary feedback as the single point of contact easily and quickly for the Plan Review team.




- Assume responsibility for an unattended territory (maternity/vacation) and maintain the required level of service review turnaround times.
**Key Skills & Experiences**
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Design, Construction management or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge of brand management.
- Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing complex large scale projects from conception through implementation.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for providing information to clients, Design teams, Senior Management, and IHG Internal Partners.
- Demonstrate knowledge of brand standards and full understanding of the differences in the various brand standards. Must maintain a working knowledge of all requirements described in each brand standards manual.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to read blueprints including architectural, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler systems and electrical drawings.
- Ability to effectively prioritize project details and manage time usage to track projects and determine if plans have been submitted in a timely manner.
- Effective communications and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills.




- Proficiency in Excel, BlueBeam, DPM, Word and PowerPoint required.
- Coordinate and/or assist in the implementation of regional brand initiatives.
- Demonstrate ability to handle multiple assignments and projects accurately and with attention to detail. Demonstrated follow-though and ability to complete multiple ongoing projects on time and within specified budget.
