We are seeking a highly skilled **Data Mapping Specialist** with expertise in the **Asset Management domain** to support large-scale data integration, migration, and transformation initiatives. The role requires strong knowledge of financial instruments, investment products, reference data, and regulatory reporting. The specialist will play a critical role in analyzing complex data flows, mapping disparate data sources, and ensuring accurate alignment across systems, platforms, and business processes.
**Responsibilities**
- Analyze source and target systems to create detailed data mapping specifications
- Define and maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and mapping documentation
- Validate mapping logic against business rules and domain-specific requirements
- Collaborate with product, operations, and compliance teams to align data models with investment and regulatory requirements
- Work with technology teams to design and implement ETL/ELT transformations and data pipelines
- Ensure data consistency across front, middle, and back-office platforms (e.g., portfolio management, risk, performance, compliance, reporting)
- Partner with data governance teams to enforce data standards, lineage, and quality checks
- Perform reconciliation and root-cause analysis of data issues, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Support data migration testing and validation during system upgrades or vendor transitions
- Liaise with business analysts, solution architects, and developers to translate business requirements into actionable data mapping
**Requirements**:
- 3+ years of experience in data mapping, data integration, or data analysis roles
- Strong knowledge of asset management processes and products (mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternatives, fixed income, equities)
- Hands-on experience with data modeling
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, profiling, and validation




- Excellent documentation and communication skills to translate technical mapping into business-friendly specifications
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) at a minimum B2 level
