**Responsibilities**:
1. Process payroll for employees on a bi-weekly basis.
2. Review and verify timesheets and adjust for any discrepancies.
3. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
4. Handle payroll-related questions and complaints.
5. Act as a liaison between clients, families, and service providers, especially those who can only speak Spanish
6. Handle administrative support tasks
**Requirements**:
- Experience: Previous experience in payroll administration, accounting, or administrative roles is often preferred. Experience with payroll software and administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling is valuable.
- Knowledge of Payroll Processes: Familiarity with payroll processes, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, is essential. Understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements is also important.
- Attention to Detail: Payroll processing requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in calculations and data entry. The ability to spot errors and discrepancies is crucial in this role.
- Organizational Skills: Payroll and administrative assistants often handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational skills are needed to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines,
and maintain efficient workflows.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with employees, managers, and external stakeholders. The ability to convey information clearly and professionally is important in this role.
- Confidentiality: Payroll and administrative assistants have access to sensitive employee information and financial data. Maintaining confidentiality and handling information with discretion and integrity are critical aspects of the job.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Payroll and administrative assistants may encounter payroll discrepancies, administrative challenges, or technical issues. Strong problem-solving skills are valuable for identifying solutions and resolving issues effectively.
