**Descripción**:
**GENERIC DESCRIPTION.**
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing strategic suppliers to meet the organization’s material and service needs while supporting new product introductions (NPI). This role involves analyzing market trends, negotiating contracts, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring alignment with product development timelines. The Sourcing Specialist collaborates cross-functionally to drive cost-effectiveness, quality, and innovation in the supply chain. Requires a professional degree, strong analytical skills, advanced English proficiency, and at least four years of experience in sourcing or procurement roles.
**Responsabilidades**:
**JOB RESPONSABILITIES**
**1.**Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for both existing and new product requirements.
**2.**Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to optimize pricing, delivery, and service levels, prioritizing NPI timelines.
**3.**Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and emerging industry trends to support product innovation.
**4.**Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration and responsiveness during NPI phases.
**5.**Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D;, engineering, and production) to align sourcing strategies with NPI goals and timelines.
**6.**Support NPI processes by sourcing materials and components for prototypes, pilot runs, and full-scale production.
**7.**Ensure supplier readiness for NPI by coordinating qualification processes, including supplier audits and sample validations.
**8.**Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, quality metrics, and cost savings.
**9.**Optimize sourcing processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the supply chain,
including NPI-specific procurement.
**10.**Manage and update a comprehensive database of suppliers, including contract terms, performance records, and NPI capabilities.
**11.**Analyze and mitigate risks in the supply chain, such as supplier disruptions or material shortages, particularly during NPI phases.
**12.**Develop cost models and forecasts to support strategic sourcing decisions for both standard and NPI-related procurement.
**13.**Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities, including those related to NPI.
**14.**Lead initiatives to diversify the supplier base and reduce dependency on single sources to support scalable NPI production.
**15.**Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize freight and delivery schedules, ensuring timely availability of NPI materials.
**16.**Implement sustainable sourcing practices to align with corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals and NPI sustainability requirements.
**17.**Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance sourcing strategies and operational efficiency, with a focus on NPI process optimization.
**Requisitos**:
**JOB PROFILE**
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably with exposure to NPI processes.
3. Advanced English proficiency (90% or higher, spoken and written) for effective communication with global suppliers.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
5. Strong knowledge of integral sourcing strategies, supply chain dynamics, and NPI requirements.
6. Experience with procurement software or ERP systems (eg. Ax dynamics).
7. Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships.
8. Analytical mindset with expertise in cost analysis, market research, and project management.
