Responsibilities

- Body D&R; Engineer responsible for engineering, design, development, timing and production release for various vehicle body functions.
- Interface and coordinate packaging with product design office, vehicle development, and adjacent departments.
- Provide feasibility input for designs from Product Design Office concepts, sketches, and clay models.
- Undertake quality improvements, weight reduction, cost reduction initiatives, and communicate technical product status to management.
- Develop functional objectives, manage production suppliers, and release completed geometry using NX Teamcenter CAD tools.

Qualifications

- Experience designing and developing on the following: --->Body in White, Closures, or Exterior Systems.
- CAD experience with Unigraphics NX,



Catia V5 and Teamcenter in a production release environment BIW (Body in White).
- Knowledgeable regarding high strength steels/ aluminum forming processes, weld parameters and GD&T.;
- Experience/knowledge with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R;) and validation plans.
- Bom’s creation and edition.
- Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and/or Reactive Green/Black Belt is a plus.
- CAE/Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) knowledge.
- Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- CATIA V5 knowledge is a plus.
