Role Description This full-time Industrial Design Specialist role at LEGORRETA is a hybrid position based in Mexico City, Mexico, with flexibility for partial work from home. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop products that align with the firm’s aesthetic, functional, and user-centered standards. Daily responsibilities include generating design concepts, creating detailed product specifications, and producing visual and physical prototypes to communicate ideas effectively.

The role involves applying design thinking methodologies, conducting user and market research, and iterating designs based on feedback and technical constraints. The specialist will also prepare documentation and presentations, coordinate with suppliers and fabricators, and ensure designs are feasible, sustainable, and aligned with project timelines and budgets. Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Industrial Design and Furniture Design, with a solid portfolio showcasing relevant projects.





Ability to apply Design Thinking and Concept Generation to solve complex design challenges and create innovative solutions.

Hands-on experience with Prototyping, including physical model-making and digital mockups.

Proficiency in industry-standard design and CAD software (e.g., Rhino, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite or similar).

Strong visual, spatial, and technical skills, including attention to detail and understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present design ideas clearly to internal teams and external partners.

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Ability to work on-site in Mexico City in a hybrid arrangement and manage multiple projects concurrently within deadlines.
