Purpose Statement: Responsible to support in the level factory all projects about industrial Engineer and Continuous improvement such as: Create layouts, physical movements, take standard times, Capacity Analysis, process balance chart, management all current movements, participation in all continuous improvement initiatives and kaizen events.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- PROCESS OPTIMIZATION: Assist the Industrial Engineers, CI Specialist in general projects and experiments that reduce costs and improve the manufacturing flow of products.
- PROCESS OPTIMIZATION: Create/update CAD layouts for facilities and manufacturing processes.
- PROCESS OPTIMIZATION: Perform time studies, cap model as needed to demonstrate the expected output for an operation, for cost recovery systems, and for factory layouts.
- ERGONOMICS: Assist in the safety and ergonomics of the focus factory so that the designs and layouts of the factory ensure a safe work environment for the employees.
- ENGINEERING SUPPORT: Support needs of physical transformation with current and new customer implementing all kaizen event to create flow through the process.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Assist in reducing the manufacturing cost of labor and equipment within the factory.
- Establish and maintain zoning, compliant work areas and audits.
- Be involved, as needed, with materials team to incorporate point of use storage and proper material handling methods.
- Monitor and work to reduce manufacturing costs and cycle times.




- Review engineering changes; Balance chart analysis as needed.
- Assist the Manufacturing Engineers in the development of the monthly report and the factory in establishing and collecting metrics.
- Investigate labor savings projects based on performance results or management suggestions.
- Active participation in Best Practice Sharing across site.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
- One (1) year of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
