**Role summary**:
We are seeking a Foreign Trade expert to lead our international treaties strategy. Your primary mission will be to ensure regulatory compliance for operations across **Mexico, the USA, Honduras and Canada**, optimizing duty payments and ensuring our components and finished products fully leverage the benefits of current trade agreements.
**Key responsibilities**:
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure full adherence to international commercial treaties and trade agreements.
- **Strategic Monitoring**: Monitor changes in customs legislation and assess the business impact on financial and logístical operations.
- **Cost Optimization**:
Maximize the use of preferential trade agreements to reduce duties through the solicitation, qualification, and analysis of Rules of Origin for components and products.
- **Customer Requirements**: Respond in a timely and accurate manner to customer requests, audits, or trade validation requirements.
**Education Requirements**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
- **Technical Expertise**: Expert level in customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements USCMA, TLCUE, KORUS, ACE55 (specific knowledge of Rules of Origin is a must).
**Experience Requirements**:
- **Experience**: 5+ years of experience in customs management, international trade, or logistics, preferably within the automotive sector.
- **People management**: Proven working experience leading and developing teams
- **Skills**: Strong analytical capabilities, result-oriented mindset, and proven experience working directly with integral suppliers and customers.
