The Trade Compliance Director leads Mexico trade compliance across manufacturing sites under
IMMEX . Ensures compliance with
MX Customs Law , regulatory updates,
US Customs , and
FTAs . Oversees
Annex 24/30 , audits,
HTS , duty optimization, and process standardization. Candidate must be analytical, hands-on, and experienced in coaching teams.
1. Regulatory & Customs Compliance (MX & Intl):Ensure
IMMEX ,
Annex 24/30 ,
LGIS ,
VAT/ISR
compliance. Implement
2026 MX Customs Law
(traceability, digital docs, import limits, transformation proof). Coordinate with US Customs Director on US entries/HTS. Manage
OEA/CTPAT .
2. Inventory Control, Annex 24/30 & ERP:Ensure
Annex 24/30
accuracy and
ERP/Broker
interfaces. Validate
BOMs , backflush, fixed assets, scrap, and destructions.
3. Audits, Controls & Risk:Lead audits ( SAT ,
SE ,
CTPAT ,
OEA , Brokers). Enforce
SOPs , monitor import permanency, and drive root-cause actions.
4. Classification & Duty Management:Direct MX/US
HTS classification . Manage trade programs ( USMCA ,
Regla Octava ,
Drawback ). Lead duty optimization and VAT recovery.
5. Leadership & Synergy:Lead multi-site compliance teams. Partner with Ops, Finance, IT, and Brokers; support
NPI /engineering changes.
6. KPIs & Analytics:Track
KPIs
(VAT exposure, permanency, audit scores). Present insights to leadership to minimize compliance risk.
7. In-House Brokerage:Oversee in-house customs,
pedimentos ,
Annex 22 ,
NOMs , and permits. Audit dispatch data and streamline workflows.
8. Continuous Improvement:Apply
Lean/Six Sigma ; drive
Annex 24-ERP
automation and digital initiatives.
9. 2026 Law & Modernization:Implement real-time traceability, data governance, and
SAT audit readiness .
10. Strategic Responsibilities:Risk-map
IMMEX
operations, build compliance playbooks, and manage authority/broker relations.
REPORTS TO:International Logistics Leader
BACHELOR’S DEGREE:Comercio Exterior y Aduanas, LAE, or similar
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS10+ years of experience in Trade Compliance leadership roles under IMMEX (Director or Senior Manager level)
ENGLISH LEVEL:90%
